About our mission:
affordable, healthy, and efficient Carbon underfloor heating

Why two engineers from Germany built the
most affordable heat pump alternative.

We are Christian and Moritz, two engeneers from Bavaria, Germany. Together, we’ve built the most affordable alternative to a heat pump or oil heating system for you to provide cozy warmth in your home and business premises.

The IREWA Carbon underfloor heating works like an electric underfloor heating system, but heats the entire surface and is much more efficient thanks to the high-quality carbon material.

Not only can you conveniently save on heating costs, but you’ll also heat in the healthiest way possible. Our carbon underfloor heating system warms via infrared radiation. That means: no more swollen legs from underfloor heating.

Christian invented it

Christian Furtmayr, the inventor of the IREWA Carbon Underfloor heating.

Christian Furtmayr is the inventor of the IREWA Carbon
underfloor heating. Here he shows the award-winning
system Parquet on Carbon underfloor heating called
Weitzer Wärmeparkett.

Christian comes from the heat pump industry and owned a geothermal engineering firm. Then he bought a 300-year-old, unrenovated house in the foothills of the Alps. But how to heat it? The technology was becoming increasingly complex and laborious.

So he looked for alternatives and developed a silent, all-carbon comfort heater. With its large surface area and low temperature, it heats a room, or even an entire house, in 30-45 minutes in the most comfortable way. Thermal decoupling is the solution here: A structure with a reflection layer minimizes heat loss into the subfloor.

He has even filed a patent for this technology. Because with it, IREWA has uniquely improved heat output for you. Now, with IREWA, we even offer you the only heating element of its kind worldwide that has been awarded the highest German safety certification, TÜV.

Moritz has taken it out in the wider world

Moritz Schoentag from IREWA presents the unique technology
Parquet on Carbon underfloor heating – Weitzer Wärmeparkett.

Moritz was so cold during his Industrial Engineering Studies in Cape Town that he sat at his desk with his duvet on while studying. Sometimes he lit up to 20 candles to keep himself at least a little warm. He was on his way to becoming an industrial engineer for renewable energies and has never been as cold as he was down there.

Then his father met Christian and told Moritz about his invention. At first, Moritz was skeptical: “Heating with electricity? What nonsense!”

A new heating system? And even with a patent?

But then he read up on it anyway, and the lesson was clear: The heating solution was pretty ingenious.

And it already owned a patent.

He wondered why no one had thought of it before. So Christian and Moritz became partners. Moritz then founded a heating company in Cape Town. Initially, he carried heating materials in his board bag on flights from home to university instead of his surfboard. Later, they chartered containers.

On his subsequent travels, he enthusiastically talked about their Carbon underfloor heating, so that more and more people in Europe, the Canary Islands, and the Mediterranean became satisfied customers.

IREWA now works with selected partners all over the world.

People are our most important priority.
That's why, at IREWA,
affordable heating and health go hand in hand.

Who is IREWA’s offer right for?
For renovators and home builders who need a new heating system quickly and dust-free, with a great indoor climate, and who are looking for the most affordable alternative to heat pumps or oil heating.

IREWA is also ideal for tradespeople who want to offer their customers the best high-quality heating solution. This is because IREWA has a simple and healthy heating system that works reliably, minimizes bureaucratic effort, and generates recommendations instead of complaints.

Who is the IREWA offer not suitable for?

For anyone who exclusively renovates bathrooms, whose budget is geared toward low-cost heating systems, and who is only looking for a cheap offer for a small space.

Less Losses

Each room generates the exact amount of warmth needed – right where it is needed.
The following types of losses are eliminated:

Control losses
No over or undersupply of heat due to in-room heat generation

Transmission losses
No fuel-water-screed or other heat transmissions

Transportation losses
No pumps needed to transport hot water for heating

Heat storage losses
No direct heating of screed, no storage of hot water

Unique Bonus: Patented Thermal Deccoupling

Our patented structure with a reflective element prevents heat losses into the ground:

Keep more heat in the flooring, less loss in the ground

Quicker warm-up times Less consumption

Less consumption costs

Traditionell:

kleine effektive Heizfläche (gelb)

Mit Carbon:

große effektive Heizfläche (gelb)

Je größer die effektive
Heizfläche, desto
schneller ist die Wärme
im Raum und desto kürzer
muss die Heizung laufen

Advantage:

Vollflächige Heizung ermöglicht niedrigere Temperaturen: 20-24°C (spart Energie)

Direkte Erwärmung des Bodenbelags führt zu schnellerer

Aufwärmzeit Schnellere Aufwärmzeiten führen zu kürzerer Laufzeit

“The simple recipe for Cost Efficiency and Comfort: Temper large surfaces (floor or ceiling) to low temperatures (20-24°C).”

Warum die Wärmeübertragungsmethode wichtig ist:

1 kW elektrische Eingangsleistung entspricht NICHT 1 kW thermischer Leistung.

Beispiel 1:

Beispiel 2:
Unterschiedliche Heizsysteme mit gleicher elektrischer Eingangsleistung:
Elektro-Heizlüfter

3000 W

Nachtspeicherheizung

3000 W

IREWA Fußbodenheizung

3000 W

Verbrauchsdaten werden variieren:
Unterschiedliche Übertragungsmedien (Konvektion / Strahlung)

• Unterschiedliche Heizflächen

• Unterschiedliche Laufzeit der einzelnen Systeme zum Aufheizen des Raumes
